Members of Imani Winds to collaborate with the Borromeo String Quartet in New York City at Merkin Hall to benefit MUSICIANS4HARMONY, helping young musicians in Iraq keep music in their lives, featuring a World Premier by Mohammed Fairouz.

Imani Winds’ Legacy Commissioning Project (LCP) commemorates the ensemble’s tenth anniversary through the commissioning of ten compositions by established and emerging composers of color. For more information and to sponsor a commission click here.

Imani Winds awarded grant from Chamber Music America’s Classical Commisioning Program towards LCP composer, Simon Shaheen. The internationally-acclaimed Palestinian Oud and Violinist will write a collaborative piece for premiere in 2010.
