He's got an amazing group of musicians on this record and we are happy to be a part of it. We commissioned the quintet <em>Jebel Lebnan</em> as part of our Legacy Commissioning Project, so it's especially rewarding for us to see the work on this collection.</p>
<p>The recording features the Borromeo String Quartet, Rachel Barton Pine, David Krakauer, Mellissa Hughes and others.</p>]]></description>

		  <description><![CDATA[<p>Exciting activies are happening in the upcoming weeks!</p>
<p>International exposure continues with concerts in Bremen, Germany and Thionville, France which started the 16th season of Imani Winds.&nbsp;</p>
<p>We will perform to a sold out audience in Macau, China at the 26th annual <a href="http://www.icm.gov.mo/fimm/26/en/" target="_blank">Macau International Music Festival</a>, followed by&nbsp;masterclasses, adjudacations and concert at the <a href="http://music.nus.edu.sg/event_details.html?EventID=924&amp;Year=YearFilter=2012&amp;TypeFilter=&amp;MonthFilter=10" target="_blank">Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music</a> in Singapore.</p>
<p>Upon returning to New York, we're thrilled to colloborate with famed jazz and classical saxophonist and composer, <a href="http://www.danielschnyder.com/" target="_blank">Daniel Schnyder</a>. Daniel has composed and arranged brand new pieces just for this <a href="http://www.lyricny.org/concerts2012-2013-1.html" target="_blank">colloboration</a>. <p>Now in its third season, IWCMF 2012 offers an exciting 10 days of chamber music events and training institute. Housed right in the heart of New York City on the Lincoln Center campus, advanced and professional musicians/ensembles from all across the country and abroad are mentored by Imani Winds, a Grammy nominated wind quintet known for their legacy of innovative music.</p>
<p>World class performances, masterclasses by Imani Winds and renowned guest artists, coachings, career building workshops and education outreach training are all within the scope of the intensive program, designed to hone skills in artistry, communication and performance.</p>]]></description>

		  <title><![CDATA[2010 Chamber Music Institute a great success!]]></title>

		  <description><![CDATA[<p>Imani Winds recently concluded the first annual Chamber Music Institute, held at The Juilliard School, in New York City. Its success was overwhelming! The 52 participants came from all over the country for mentoring and coaching.</p>
<p>We are already preparing for the 2011 session, which will take place next summer. The mission of the Institute will continue to be a commitment to excellence in wind chamber music.&nbsp;</p>
