SUPPORT THE PROJECTS OF IMANI WINDS

Imani Winds' various projects are made possible by the generous support of people like you! We are proud to have The Field as the non-profit fiscal sponsor of Imani Winds.

IMANI WINDS CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL SCHOLARSHIP & OPERATIONS FUND

The Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival (IWCMF) is the group’s most important endeavor. IWCMF’s scholarship fund consists of donations that go toward in-need students’ tuition and housing costs, which over half of our students are able to benefit from, each year. Scholarships are granted based on a rigorous examination of an applicant’s financial need, the merit of their audition performance and teacher recommendation.

Additionally, the success of the Festival happens because of a dedicated and hard-working team of individuals. Everything from coordinating housing to scheduling events to operating the daily activities is done by our administrative staff. By contributing to our Operations Fund, you can help to grow our behind-the-scenes personnel.

THE LEGACY COMMISSIONING PROJECT

The ongoing Legacy Commissioning Project, started in 2007, has launched Imani Winds into our second decade of music making. We have and continue to commission a wide array of composers to create new music that will change the scope of the repertoire of the wind quintet for years to come.

Donations to the LCP go towards expenses such as composers’ fees, copying costs, granter-writer fees, rehearsal space and promotional costs, composer transportation and archival recording costs.
